![]() ![]() Posted by Marcus Duncantel on Jan 23rd 2021 Feels good in the hand, reliable connection, and virtually no lag. Not a 'classic' feel exactly, but the 2.4G version of the M30 syncs instantly on power-on. D-pad is a bit squeaky, but everything else if perfect. I own 2 for my Mega SG and they are amazing. Posted by Simon Graveline on Apr 25th 2021 If you' re looking for wireless controllers for your original hardware or the Mega SG, you can' t go wrong with 8bitdo' s M30 2.4g controller. ![]() The things I love about the M30 is the comfortable form factor and the ultra responsive, no latency controls. This controller includes a 2.4g wireless dongle for your console (not usb, mind you) which connect wirelessly to the controller. I bought several 3rd party controllers (wired and wireless) but none came close to the 8bitdo M30. I never had the Genesis growing up, so when Analogue released their Mega SG Genesis FPGA clone, I bought it right away. Also I experienced some random dropped connections (character kept moving after releasing the D-pad) while using with a Model-2 Genesis with triple-bypass mod installed (updating the M30 controller/receiver firmwares made no change in this instance), but I could not duplicate this issue using the M30 with a stock Model-1 Genesis in the same setup, so it may not have been related to the controller. ![]() The D-pad shape is good, but it is noticeably noisy when pressed and feels cheap which detracts slightly from the experience. The shape & construction of the shell also feel nice.
